We always enjoy Zumba, and George Martini had us try some dances in a different style, rather like a cross between the Zumba we had been doing and the Wheelchair Dance we did in February.
Here we are in action !
As well as dances in lines there were dances in a circle – this one was taken while dancing, so the room as well as the dancers seems to be moving !
We even did a tango – but participating and filming a circle dance is possible, but a tango would be too tricky !
We all really enjoyed the session and look forward to more Zumba in future.

Zumba Event in aid of local cancer organisations
About 20 Oxfordshire Zuma instructors held a Zumba fundraising evening at the Christian Life Centre on Cowley Road. The money raised went to various local cancer organisations.
Oxford Phab were very glad to have a chance to participate in this event.
Zumba for Children in Need
We joined an energetic crowd at The Christian Life Centre on Cowley road for an evening of Zuma, with Phab performing a routine we first learnt with George Martini at Phab a few weeks ago.
We had a great time, as well as raising money for Children in Need.

This was the first time was had Zumba in the Hall at Wesley Memorial Church since it was refurbished, and we appreciated the extra space to move around.
Once again George Martini came to lead us – we look forward to his sessions.

Zumbathon
Oxford Phab held a Zumbathon on Saturday June 20th 2015

Zumba is a popular activity on club nights, but for this fundraising event we want others to come, have fun, get fitter, and contribute to our club funds !
There will be Stalls and Refreshments from 10am to 1pm, and Zumba from 11am until 12:30pm
The cost is £5 per person, the Zumba Instructor will be George Martini, and the event took place at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church Hall, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, OX1 2DH
In the end we raised over £400 for club funds – thank you to everyone who contributed or took part, particularly to George and his friends.
