The Graeae Theatre Company gave us lots of Reasons to be Cheerful
We went – in our lovely minibus – to the Milton Keynes International Festival to see the Graeae Theatre Company performance of Reasons to be Cheerful.
This is a selection of hits by Ian Dury, arranged and performed by Graeae, with British Sign Language interpretation, and captioning and images related to the lyrics, all woven into a rocking performance.
Here we are arriving at the festival.
And seated in the Spiegeltent before the performance
All good things come to an end and finally we had to leave, getting the minibus home about 1am.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
We went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the New Theatre. A very enjoyable performance, and particularly impressive as we saw the performance which started at 8pm, and could not get into the theatre until 7:30 as the cast had been doing an early evening performance !
Pantomime – Aladdin
We kicked off 2016 in style by going to see Aladdin at the Oxford Playhouse.
George, in particular, enjoyed the sing-along !
Murder Mystery Evening
Phab were invited to the Wesley Memorial Open Doors Murder Mystery evening. This included a meal, being prepared here.
The hall was set up.
Tables were labelled with the names of famous detectives.
We are Oxford after all – we also had Lewis, as well as Rebus and so on from other places.
Here is the Hall filled with aspiring detectives.
The players in action
Enjoying the meal.
The Inspector reveals the result, which was a surprise to my table,
We alway enjoy joint activities with the church.
Jesus Chris Superstar
We went to Jesus Christ Superstar at the New Theatre. Fast paced with plenty of excellent musical numbers.
