Very first passenger boarding our new minibus
and once everyone is on board – off to Hounslow Phab
where we took part in a range of craft activities
out of a wide selection – making stuffed toys, jewellery making, decorated candles, photography …
you could even have a manicure !
We were very fortunate in the raffle too !
and finally (once we could get our minibus out – it is the one behind the white Transit) it was time to go home

New Minibus arrives !
Moonrakers Concert
Moonrakers did a concert at Wesley Memorial, in aid of its Open Doors project. It was enjoyed, not just by Phab, but by many members of the church and Moonrakers fans who came to hear them play.
Heartbeat Hike 2013
This year Heartbeat Hike was on Sunday 16th June 2013. Some of the club – like many other Phab members from all over the South East – walked around the Serpentine.Oxford Phab assisted with Checkpoint A, at the Bandstand, where we registered walkers, helped with enquiries and congratulated those who have finished.
Some of the club – like many other Phab members from all over the South East – walked around the Serpentine.
Some were in fancy dress – here is Robin Hood and his Shadow…
Dancing !
Everyone dance !
Oxford Fun Run 2013
A team from Oxford Phab participated in the Oxford Rotary Fun Run to raise money for our Minibus Fund – The specific donations for this event are now closed, but we would be very grateful if you feel inspired to donate.
The Oxford Phab team at the start.
Making our way round.
Walkers keeping right (or left – out of the way of the runners anyway !)
Starting to rain 🙁
Back together at the finish !
Easter Bingo 2013
There was a good response to the request to bring Easter Eggs, so we had plenty of prizes.
Our high tech Bingo device, being operated by our caller – who has already started on his egg.
Everybody won at least one egg, or similar chocolate treat – but we had real eggs from Helen’s hens for people who do not do chocolate. We play in groups round tables to make things more sociable, and so members can help each other out with the numbers, if needed.
Barn Dance February 2013
We joined in a Barn Dance at Wesley Memorial Church being held in aid of the Open Doors project.
One of the things Open Doors will do is to make the church buildings more accessible – which will be very welcome to Oxford Phab.

Alton Towers 2012
Early in the morning of September 15th we set off, in two minibuses – the Oxford Phab Minibus and one which had been come all the way from Chichester Phab.
We had a meal in their restaurant, and they stayed in the accommodation, which was accessible, and went on several rides.
On the Sunday we returned home – tired by happy.
We had a great time – which is why there are not many pictures, but you can see some of what we did in this gallery
Oxford Fun Run 2012
Oxford Phab had over a dozen people participating in the Rotary Club of Oxford Oxford Fun Run – if you were part of our team, thank you. If not – please sponsor them.
After all the dismal weather which preceded the event the sun shone on the day.
Although we were overtaken by all the runners
Even Smurfs
We kept going
and going and going – and despite some technical issues – completed the distance.
Time for a Photo Opportunity with Oxford East MP Andrew Smith, and then we went off for a barbeque at the Oxford School of English.
