After our very successful holiday in Avon Tyrrell last year we know we had to go back.

Hinksey Heights Captains Drive In
We are the Hinksey Heights Golf Club Captains Charity for 2016 and they are donating the proceeds of the raffle to us, as well as other ingenious fund raising ideas.
Raffle
Their members have donated some very generous prizes.
A wide selection of raffle prizes – many, unsurprisingly, with a golfing theme.
Although not everyone could make it to the event, we were very pleased to have the support of those who did manage to get there.
Exploring
When the initial rush of raffle ticket sales had died down – since most of the golf club members were out playing their round of golf – we went for a walk to explore the course.
The view of Oxford is amazing.
Footgolf
One of their activities is Foot Golf, which is like a combination of Football and Golf, though we invented our own variant – by seeing how many throws were needed to go from the tee box to the hole.
The weather was a little chilly, but sunny, a good day to be out of doors.

We were serving tea, coffee, filled rolls, home made soups as well as home baked cakes and biscuits in aid of Phab and Open Doors

Easter Bingo
We play for chocolates ! Members bring some eggs, or chocolate bunnies or other treats and we redistribute them through the evening.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
We went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the New Theatre. A very enjoyable performance, and particularly impressive as we saw the performance which started at 8pm, and could not get into the theatre until 7:30 as the cast had been doing an early evening performance !
Quiz Night
Robin had created a very well organised quiz, which we did in teams – as well as drinking tea or coffee and eating biscuits.
We had a Disney Princess based word search, as well as anagrams, and a chance to show our knowledge (or lack of), of the titles of Carry On films.
